The CricketLeagues.In team was doing just about nothing when this idea struck us. We Indians had all bad things to say about Hayden & Symonds after the two got out of control (read: things other than their cricket), and we got double in return. Kumble’s men tried with their statemen-like attitude but the Australians were unmoved, Dhoni’s boys tried aggressively but it only added fuel to the fire. Even today, Australian media writes “Harbhajan was found guilty of a racism charge” although he was not. The freakin’ Australian newspapers go on to accuse the BCCI of misusing their financial power.

So, to put an end to all this, we at CricketLeagues.In thought of a noble idea. Since Harbhajan, Ishant & the rest of us belong to the land of Gandhi, why not let Gandhiji do the work. Gandhiji worked for Munnabhai, it’ll work for the Indian team too.

So here is a unique initiative from us. We’ll be spreading the message of non-sledging. And we sincerely hope that our Australian Mamus get well soon.

1. Spread this message (of course give the URL to this post, so the Australian media does not misquote anyone, which they often do!)
2. Volunteer: If you’re ready to volunteer to this cause it would be great. You just have to do the usual stuff : follow the Australian team around and gift ‘em some roses and “Get Well Soon” greeting cards. I am sure the security guys would help you with this. You could also post Get Well Soon cards to Cricket Australia’s headquarters in Australia. If you’re like us & think the Australian team & media have attacked our national pride, you can volunteer to form groups & get advertisements printed in local & national newspapers. Only, don’t forget the url of CricketLeagues, because one mass movement is bigger than a hundred small ones. 3. Donate : You could donate money to CricketLeagues which in turn would be used for a huge hoarding that we plan to put up right in the front of the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium when Hyderbad plays Delhi. Again, if you’re intersted in donations, leave a comment with your mail ID and/or phone number.
